About Tile

If you are updating your home, then consider tile flooring for your next project.  The benefit of having tiles installed in your home is that they are durable, long-lasting, stylish, and easy to care for. We have a quality selection of porcelain, ceramic, and stone tiles. We can even help you choose the layout of the design. Even though tile is a popular kitchen and bathroom option, there are several other places around your home that you can install tile.

At Carpet One Floor & Home of Northwest Arkansas, our products feature award winning warranties. When it comes to choosing tile for your home, the creative possibilities are endless. Tiles can be arranged in so many different designs and patterns because they are installed as individual pieces. We are here to help and have professionally trained staff at our showroom to help you navigate our tile selection.

We have locations in Springdale, Bentonville, Fayetteville, Siloam Springs, and Rogers.

Expert Advice - Choose the Perfect Tile

Join our very own Jim Aaron, VP of Merchandising for Carpet One Floor & Home, for some information on the three basic types of tile flooring: ceramic, porcelain, and stone.

Where Can Tile Be Installed?

Tile is versatile when it comes to where you can install it around your home. Traditionally, tile is installed in kitchens and bathrooms because of how easy it is to clean and because it is resistant to moisture. You can also install tile in areas of your home like laundry rooms, entryways, as well as your basement. More durable tiles like stone and porcelain can be installed outside around your home as a patio or walkway.

Types of Tile

Ceramic and porcelain tiles are two of the most common options you’ll find in homes. Both types of tiles are made with the same materials, but porcelain is classified different because it is denser and more resistant to heat and moisture. Ceramic tiles are light-weight and budget friendly, they also come in a wide variety of colors and styles to choose. Porcelain tiles are more durable, so they can tend to be heavier, but since they are resistant to moisture you can choose to have them installed inside. Stone tile is a unique flooring option. Because slabs are quarried from different locations, no two tiles look the same. When properly sealed stone tiles are waterproof and stain resistant.
